At Wise Iris Farms, we are committed to providing our customers with the healthiest rhizomes for you to raise beautiful bearded iris. We grow a wide variety of colors that we think you’ll be excited to have in your garden!
Our Story
In early 2024, Debbie had the dream of retiring from her 9 to 5 job. On top of that, her other dream was to have an iris farm, having acquired a love of gardening and growing flowers from her maternal grandmother at a very young age. After sharing those dreams with her adult son, Scott, he liked the idea and now grows some of their beautiful irises at his house. They joined forces and are excited to share them with their fellow irisarians. That’s where you come in!
Our Products
We sell tall bearded iris rhizomes (bulbs/tubers). Flowering occurs in April/May. A few of our irises are rebloomers, meaning they should bloom in the spring and in the fall. The flowering stalk grows to approximately 36” …perfect for backdrop gardening or a simple row of just irises. We also have a few dwarf varieties, whose flower stalks are approximately 12” tall.
The rhizomes are shipped in July and August and should be planted right away. Water well after planting and keep moist during hot weather.
